Hastelloy C4 alloy is an austenitic low carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and stability, suitable for a variety of industrial fields. The chemical composition of the alloy has been carefully designed, including nickel, chromium, molybdenum, titanium and other elements, while having low carbon, silicon, iron and tungsten content. The precise ratio of these components gives Hastelloy C4 excellent performance in high temperature environments, especially improving its resistance to intergranular corrosion and weld heat affected zone corrosion, while reducing the sensitivity to edge line corrosion
Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and thermal stability, Hastelloy C-4 alloy has been widely used in multiple industrial fields, including but not limited to:
Flue gas desulfurization system: handling highly corrosive gases, the alloy’s high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance ensure the reliable operation of the system and the long life of the equipment.
Acid pickling and acid regeneration plants: used to manufacture storage tanks, reaction vessels and piping systems, and perform well in acidic environments.
Agricultural chemical production: handling and storing highly corrosive chemicals, with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
Titanium dioxide production: used for high-temperature reactors and other key equipment, with outstanding high-temperature corrosion resistance.
Electrolytic plating: used to manufacture electrodes and plating tanks, with good acid resistance and mechanical strength.
